About Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance

One of the year’s most controversial films from JSA director Park Chan-wook, a subversive allegory of the relationship between labor and capital. Needing money for his sister’s operation, a man is convinced by his anarchist girlfriend into kidnapping an industrialist’s daughter. When the girl is accidentally killed, her father exacts brutal revenge while being targeted for death himself.
