Review
Sound and music play a fairly significant, and sometimes funny, role in Takeshi Kitano¡¯s retelling of the story of a legendary Japanese blind swordsman. And though the repeating rhythm patterns and quirky minimalist melodies that make up this soundtrack lose some of their liveliness outside the context of the film, composer Keiichi Suzuki¡¯s creative blending of electronic music with a traditional Japanese sound is still worth a listen.
