The Korean Film Archive has recently published the first book of the series, called ¡°Traces of Korean Cinema¡± to commemorate the organization¡¯s 30th anniversary of its foundation.
This book covers Korean movies produced from 1945 to 1959 with a variety of images of posters and stills from the movies introduced. It consists of three chapters, the Korean film community and film movements during the post-liberation era, Korean films during the wartime, and the Korean films in 1950s.
Some articles of this book were written based on previously released books by Yi Hyo-in, the president of the Korean Film Archive.
English translated articles have been added in the book.
