Introduction: Palace II, also known as Gong II, Gong Suo Zhu Lian, and Palace: The Locked Beaded Curtain, is a Chinese television series written and produced by Yu Zheng and directed by Lee Wai-chu. Palace II is a sequel to the 2011 television series Palace.
During the reign of the Yongzheng Emperor (Mickey He), the Seventeenth Prince Yinli (Du Chun) is deeply in love with Lian'er (Yuan Shanshan), the humble, good-natured daughter of a fourth-class court official. However, in a bid to rescue his mentor Aling'a, Yinli makes the tough decision to sacrifice their romance and marry Princess Jia (Hai Lu) instead.
