Introduction:
Amamiya Kuniyuki (Nakai Masahiro) is 34, single and unemployed. As fate would have it, at the most opportune moment, he lands a job under the word that he's getting married. Racing to find a bride, Kuniyuki goes on a Konkatsu (Marriage Hunt) to find his future wife as soon as possible to keep his job. By a stroke of bad luck, the news is announced on television and his family and neighborhood now believe Kuniyuki is engaged. With all the people bringing gifts and wishing luck, Kuniyuki is only put under more pressure to get married and get married quickly. Learning Kuniyuki's dreadful single status, his new co-worker, Sakurada Shugoro (Hashizume Isao), and childhood friends, Nihei Takumi (Tanihara Shosuke) and Fukazawa Shigeru (Sato Ryuta), decide to join in on the search for a bride of their own.
While Kuniyuki and his friends search, they try to keep it low key and away from the watchful eyes of the section chief, Mizoguchi Shizuko (Fubuki Jun) and her two right hand employees, Masuoka Fumihiko (Tanaka Yoji) and Hayami Rika (Otomo Minami) along with the super-employee, Ito Masaru (Kitamura Yukiya). While their secret of konkatsu soon spills out to Kuniyuki's friend, Hida Haruno (Ueto Aya), his younger brother, Kuniyasu (Ueda Tatsuya) and even to Komatsu Narimichi (Yamada Shintaro), and employ Kuniyuki's tonkatsu restaurant owning father, Kunio (Kohinata Fumiyo). Time is running out for Kuniyuki to find his bride.
