Jeong-Ok who is abused by her husband Choi Chang-Shik leaves home and stays in Han Cheol-Ho's house where she gives birth to a baby, who was born at the same time as Cheol-Ho's baby. But Cheol-Ho's wife dies after she bore a baby, whom Jeong-Ok nurses, along with her own baby. Chang-Shik visits Jeong-Ok and absolutely runs amuck, which results in Cheol-Ho's son's being lame, which was caused by Jeong-Ok's mistake. Feeling guilty of what she's done, Jeong-Ok grows Cheol-Ho's son in a highest form of caring for 20 years after she changed her own son Wuk with Cheol-Ho's son Jun. Jun gets to know the truth about himself, which was revealed by his lover Yeon-Suk's death. Wuk, Jeong Ok's real son, visits his mother, regretting his wanton way of living in the past years.
