About Youth in Barefoot
Lim Suk-Jae, once taught in a girls' high school in Tong young, Kyung Nam, goes to an orphanage Hee Mang Won in Hae Nam, Chon Nam as she read an article about it on a newspaper. She is impressed by the director of the orphanage Kim Jeong-Kil and she participates in Hee Mang Won business to take care of the children. Two marry by mediation of Song Chang-Keun, governor of Chon Nam and they pledge to live for needy people. In spite of resistance from orphans, cold treatment of society and severe austerity, Lim Suk-Jae overcomes all of difficulties and finally she wins an official commendation as Human Ever Green Tree in 1969.
