About Man of 49 Days, The
J, who had spent college days getting through the last 80s, is a writer who bears sense of self-reproach since he turned his eyes from the contemporary pains participating in demonstration without strong will. One day he gets a message of his ex-girl friend Seo-Yeon who left her 2 years ago in answering machine. She wants to meet him. When he goes to the appointed place the next day, J is kidnapped by men of unknown identity and taken to a place where he is threatened and appeased to find out the woman. J refuses it and they force to meet her ex-boy friends saying that Seo-Yeon gave birth to J's daughter. Thus J accepts their proposal. While he goes to see the men in order, J came to know they are murdered one after another and is overcome with apprehensions. Though he meets his senior friend to find out their identity, the friend is also missing. He finds a friend who was in a love triangle with him but he disappears, too. As unknown darkness is getting closer, J came to make fatal love with Ha-Young who lives downstairs. Realizing that he can't ignore nor escape any more, he finally takes out a gun to stand against the shadow of the death.
