While enjoying a picnic with his family, a prosecutor Kang Mun-Kil in the public safety department sees that children suffer a disastrous accident with the bomb explosion while playing with it. He recalls the past in which he has experienced the misery of the war himself. Not escaping from Seoul, his family was captured by the communists and he hid himself in the basement of a church.
