About Hero
The epic drama is set during the height of the Warring States period, when China was divided into seven kingdoms. Even though the King of Qin (Chen Dao-ming) holds the title of First Emperor, he knows that three legendary assassins - Steel (Tony Leung), Snow (Maggie Cheung) and Sky (Donnie Yen) - have been hired to kill him. Therefore, he pledges to find and destroy them. 10 years later, an enigmatic county sheriff named Nameless (Jet Li), comes to the palace bearing the alleged weapons of the slain assassins. However, as the story progresses, the Emperor finds that Nameless has a few hidden secrets of his own and may not be as faithful a servant as he had believed.
In ancient times China was divided into seven kingdoms. Qin, the king of the northern province, is under permanent threat of assassination attempts. His greatest fears are the warriors "Broken Sword", "Flying Snow" and "Sky". One day one of the magistrates of his kingdom enters the palace, claims that he defeated all three of the emperor's adversaries and tells his story; how he beat "Sky" in a duel and used the love between "Broken Sword" and "Flying Snow" to subdue them.
