About Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1952 and Kye Wol Hya
In 1952, Japanese army leading a large force of 200,000 occupies Pyeong-Yang. While Kye Wol Hyang and Chae-Ran, famous Kisaeng (a singing and dancing girl) in Pyeong-Yang are escaping from Pyeong-Yang, Chae-Ran is raped and killed by a Japanese soldier and Kye Wol Hyang kills a soldier to protect herself. But she is captured and is belonged to the Japanese commander. Recalling her lover, Kim Kyeong-Seo's word, she decides to kill the commander. On the other hand, watches for a chance to recover Pyeong-Yang after gathering the scattered soldiers. At last, Kye Wol Hyang and Kyeong-Seo kills the commander but Kye Wol Hyang is wounded and kills herself to make Kyeong-Seol escape safely.
