About Experience
Park Han-Wuk, a graduate of the Moscow University, returns to Pyungyang city just before the outbreak of the Korean War. He is a materialist and believes that human beings can realize peace in only communist society. He also thinks that either love or devotion is a kind of corruptive feeling. Thus, he rapes the nun Teresa who believes that the essence of love is love so that the love cannot be destroyed eternally to be the nature of human beings. Teresa makes up mind to realize the truth that the precious spirit of human beings is not likely to be destroyed easily. She gives birth to his baby, but does not hate him to the end and instead makes efforts to believe in the existence of the God. At last, when she almost dies, she feels love a little and then passes away.
