About Great Escape of 5 Thousands Ri, The
Kwak, the captain of mobile unit, made efforts with all his mighty to correct a communist Ha Keuk-Kang's wrong ideology. Dr. Yoo Min came to know Keuk-Kang's fiancee Jin Bang-Ran while treated him. As the war went to worse Yoo Min concealed his wife and grand father, but he remained in a battle field. Meanwhile Keuk-Kang caused serious troubles on Yoo Min who got a certificate of traveling with help of Bang-Ran. As he went to his wife Hyo-Ok, she already set out to take a refuge with captain Kwak who was injured after his grand father died. Yoo Min was caught but escaped again. He met Hyo-Ok and captain Kwak, but captain Kwak was killed by a land mine while he was leading refugees. Keuk-Kang converted from communism according to Bang-Ran's advice when he became skeptical about the communism.
