About Arirang
Yoo Kwan-Koo in his seventies was a teacher under the Japanese occupation but became an aphasic by the torture on a charge of teaching the national movement. During the Korean War, he lost his first son, a second lieutenant. His second son Jeon-Shik succeeds in business but his wife, who likes only outward show, asks him to emigrate. By the medical examination, Jeon-Shik becomes know he gets a stomach cancer and gets frustrated. Then, he goes to the country.
