Young Ilalang and Bulan try to unveil their essential nature. Their search is developed around Waluyo£¬ a master of classical Javanese arts. Bulan tries to establish her identity through devotion to Waluyo. Ilalang" s search for himself comes in the form of a dream to become a composer. Waluyo" s death brings them both sorrow and enlightenment. Bulan remains in Waluyo" s house and finds her identity as a simple£¬ modest Javanese woman. Ilalang£¬ on the other hand£¬ leaves£¬ but the decision is very hard.
