About Hakuchi: the Innocent
In this wildly imaginative film, set in a time unidentified as past or future, Japan is wracked by war. Izawa lives on skid row, finding strength in dreams of filmmaking. Unfortunately, others can't cope as well. The devastation is driving Izawa's neighbors quietly insane, while his co-workers are obsessed with power. Eventually, Izawa feels his own self-control slipping away. Can he find a reason to continue dreaming?
