Yul-Bo, a fire-field farmer in Mt. Jiri, lives with his old mother. One day, he meets a wandering Sadangpae woman Bu-Yong and marries her. But, Bu-Yong waits for her ex-lover Ji-Won. Yul-Bo find a wild ginseng but Bu-Yong hides it in order to run away if Ji-Won comes to her. One year later, Ji-Won comes and tries to kill Bu-Yong saying that she betrayed him, but thanks to Yul-Bol's earnest entreat, he just leaves without doing anything. Bu-Yong is moved up by Yul-Bo and confesses true love to him regretting her past.
