About Women Entertainment Group, The
A young writer Bae Mun-Ha, being curious about mother's past, investigates the articles left by his dead mother and comes to find a letter from her Taiwan friend Lee Rye-Hwa. He goes to Taiwan to meet her and hears from her about his mother Sun-Yi's shocking story of past. Sun-Yi lives as one of the women entertainment group for the Japanese soldiers being treated like an animal. Taiwan friend Lee Rye-Hwa and a Thailand woman Hosan are her only consolation in her wretched life. When the Japanese retreat, she nurses a wounded Korean solider and comes to fall in love with him. But, when she gets pregnant, he abandons her and returns to his country alone. Bae Mun-Ha realizes that the baby is himself and comes back home in melancholy mood.
