About Dream
A monk Cho Shin is off his head about a noble lady Dal-Lye's beautiful figure who visited his temple. He ends up raping her while she is taking a bath. Thus they leave the village and build a family. Although they have children, Cho Shin couldn't possess her heart. Dal-Lye give pain upon him by having love affair with Jeom-Won whose fiancee Mo-Rye tries to cut Cho Shin's head. Dal-Lye becomes a whore and Cho Shin is opium-addicted. Years later Cho Shin is informed her death in a leper colony. When Cho Shin, left alone, sculpts Dal-Lye's figure in a seashore village, Mo-Rye comes to him. Mercy is the only way of redemption. Cho Shin goes back to the temple again. He falls down in front of Buddhist shrine. All of it was his dream.
