About Road of Peace, The
Jeung-San is born in Kaekmang-ri, Kobu-kun, Jeonbuk in 1871. From the childhood, he has shown outstanding scholarly attainments and thinking faculty and comes to have a lot of followers in his youth. Domestically, he does his best to reform national destiny on the decline and, outwardly, denounces the Korean-Japan annexation. He also encourages the Korean if we overcome this national ordeal by means of spiritual revolution of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Zen, we would become civilized race leading the world. After Jeung-San died, his followers religionize his idea and this new religion wields its power over the nation for a while, but it comes to be suppressed during the Asia War. But, after the nation is liberated, his idea is continued to the next generations and plays an important role of supporting national spirit.
