About Ever Smiling Mr. Park
Mr.Park , a furnace repairman, has very conservative opinion about education of his children. He doesn't want his deaf mute daughter Yong-Sun to be closed with Jae-Cheon who is released from prison, but is content with his son Yong-Beom who meets a naive girl Jeom-Rye. Yong-Sun is locked in the house by Mr. Park, but she meets her boy friend secretly. Meanwhile second daughter Myeong-Sun falls in love with a rich man Ju-Shik. When she visits Ju-Shik's aunt, she is insulted. Then Mr. Park realizes cruelty of worldly affairs. On the day Yong-Beom goes abroad, Mr. Park feels sorry for Yong-Sun who committed suicide and wears bitter smile.
