About Love and Death
Under disturbed social circumstance immediately after the Korean War, the South Korean students, who claim to be progressives, cross over the border into North Korea based on their imprudent decision. The North Korea regime, however, sends male students to the front line of the war, while female students to the collective camp. As many as 150 girls realize that their desire and hope is no more than unrealistic illusion, and attempt to escape with the help from the marine corps in the island and local anti communism guerilla. Most of them, however, die lonely at a seashore, and some of them succeed in the escape.
