About Casual Trip, A
Toma, an 8-yea-old orphan boy, dreams to be a captain of a big ship in the open sea. So he always keeps a ship-looking pendant in his pocket touching it. To him life in the orphanage is something detestable that he really wants to get out. Moreover sister Lucia, who can't understand Toma's dream and playing behavior, is boring and scary to Toma. As he makes even a trivial mistake, she preaches quoting phrases from the bible and punishes him to recite prayers. To sister Lucia in particular, Toma is an agnus dei who doesn't follow the god's wll among the many children. Therefore Toma has to not only recite biblical phrases but also pluck grass for rabbits as punishment. One day they hear a rumor that a rich lady will visit this orphanage. They say the lady has no children. When the lady comes there, children of the orphanage are buoyed up thinking to be adopted by the lady but their dreams are broken due to Toma's fault. There Tome becomes afraid of sister Lucia's punishment and the children's blame. 'OK, let's go!' Toma ends up getting out of the orphanage seeking for the sea that he has in his heart as a dream.
