About Yidobaekhwa
Dr. Ko Jin-Ha, a great authority on geology in Korea, starts geological exploration on Baek Du Mountain. He gets to look for traces of La Ri-Cheong who was once his benefactor and lover 50 years ago when he was in independence army with help of a woman reporter of Yen Ben Daily Newspaper. Finally he finds out his son Jin-Cheong who works in a lumbering field in Baek Du Mountain. But Jin-Cheong refuses coldly Dr. Ko because he has lived sorrowfully without his father for more than 50 years and hates his mother who went to looking for his father entrusting her 4-year-old son to grand mother. As he completes exploration on top of Baek Du Mountain with success, Dr. Ko finally reconciles with his son and sheds tears looking at his wife who vaguely stands alone in the land of North Korea across the Tomun Rive.
