About What a Misunderstanding Left Behind
The hero, who is loved by a Kisaeng so much, goes to abroad to study. She supports his studying expenses and waits for him until he returns. She does not yield to temptation and waits for him faithfully. But when he returns, he believes just what the neighbor says. The neighbor says that she was unchaste during his absence. Therefore, he leaves her behind without any hesitation. She chooses a death rather than a betrayal.
