About Soil
Heo Sung, a lawyer, marries the daughter of his benefactor. After marriage he comes to the country and leads the campaign for enlightenment for the ignorant farmers. His wife, who is unsatisfied with this, carries on with a friend of her husband. Heo Sung comes to Seoul in despair. His wife regrets for her fault and attempts to kill herself, but in vain. She, who becomes disabled, apologizes to her husband for her fault. He forgives her and comes back to the country with her, who makes up her mind to devote her life for the country.
