About Tableland
During the Korean War, a painter Oh-Hyeon gets disillusioned at his friend Hyeon-Wu's pro-communistic behavior and decides to come down to the South Korea. He discusses it with his over Young-Ju, the sister of Hyeong-Wu. But, because of the communists' close surveillance, Oh-Hyeon alone comes down to the South. Since then, he does not forget his lover for even one day, but when he meets her again, it's after she has become another man's wife. Though they still love each other, they part with accepting their crossed fate.
